Ask Dr Claire

Can I use 7 in 1 cattle vaccine that expires in January? It’s only for a top up. Thank you

As long as a vaccine is in date at the time that it is given (and that it’s been stored correctly) it is absolutely fine to use, it doesn’t matter if the expiry is during the year that it’s effective for. The immune system responds at the time of vaccination.

Hope that makes sense!
